Deep definition. Seamless coverage. Luxurious movement.
Complete your Velvet installation with The Velvet Wave Closure, a luxurious 5x5 lace closure designed to pair beautifully with The Velvet Wave bundles. Crafted from 100% virgin human hair, this 12A Deep Wave closure delivers the rich texture, dimensional movement, and polished finish that define The Signature Collection.
The 5x5 lace construction provides approximately five inches of coverage across the front and five inches of parting space from front to back, offering greater styling flexibility while creating a natural, refined appearance at the crown.
With its beautifully defined Deep Wave pattern, The Velvet Wave Closure adds fullness and texture while blending seamlessly with matching Velvet bundles. Wear the waves sculpted and polished, gently separate them for a softer and more voluminous finish, or professionally style the hair when a different look is desired.
Designed to minimize the amount of natural hair that needs to be left out, The Velvet Wave Closure provides a beautifully finished installation with the texture and movement that make Deep Wave so distinctive.

Because The Velvet Wave Closure is crafted from human hair, subtle variations in natural tone, wave formation, and strand characteristics may occur.
The Velvet Wave Closure Care Standard
Preserving Velvet's signature wave pattern requires consistent hydration, gentle detangling, and minimal unnecessary manipulation.
Detangle the hair while damp and conditioned using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Work in sections, beginning at the ends and gradually moving upward toward the lace. Support the hair while detangling and avoid excessive pulling or aggressive brushing near the knots.
Avoid brushing The Velvet Wave Closure aggressively while dry, as this can disrupt the wave pattern, increase frizz, and place unnecessary tension on the lace.
Cleanse using a high-quality, moisture-focused shampoo and lukewarm water. Gently smooth the cleanser through the hair without rubbing, twisting, or bunching the waves together.
Follow with a hydrating conditioner, concentrating primarily on the lengths and ends. Deep conditioning periodically is recommended to help preserve softness, elasticity, moisture, and manageability.
Maintaining the Velvet Wave
After cleansing, gently blot away excess moisture with a microfiber towel. Avoid aggressively rubbing the hair.
Apply a lightweight leave-in conditioner or hydrating mist as needed. A small amount of mousse or wave-enhancing product may be used to encourage definition without weighing down the texture.
Gently scrunch or shape the waves while damp and allow the closure to air-dry whenever possible. Once dry, separate and arrange the waves with your fingers rather than excessively brushing through the pattern.
Avoid heavy oils, waxes, butters, and excessive product layering, as buildup can weigh down the waves and reduce their natural movement.
Heat Styling
When heat styling The Velvet Wave Closure, always apply a professional heat protectant and use the lowest effective temperature necessary.
Repeated exposure to excessive heat may gradually loosen or alter the original Deep Wave pattern and can affect the hair's moisture balance, softness, and overall longevity.
If the hair is curled or restyled, allow each section to cool before separating it to help encourage longer-lasting definition.
Protecting the Lace
The lace and individually secured strands require delicate handling.
Avoid scratching the lace, aggressively combing directly over the knots, pulling excessively at the hairline, or creating unnecessary tension during styling.
If lace glue, adhesive, gel, or another bonding product is used, properly dissolve the product with an appropriate remover before taking down the installation. Never pull or peel bonded lace from the scalp.
Professional installation, customization, and removal are recommended to help preserve the integrity of both the lace and hair.
Nighttime Preservation
Before sleeping, gently detangle the hair and secure it in loose braids, twists, or another low-tension protective style that helps preserve the Deep Wave pattern.
Protect The Velvet Wave Closure with a silk or satin bonnet or scarf, or sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to minimize friction, tangling, and moisture loss.
Avoid sleeping with the closure wet or excessively damp.
Professional Customization
The Velvet Wave Closure may be professionally customized to complement your desired installation. Any coloring, lightening, lace customization, or chemical processing should be performed by an experienced professional familiar with virgin human hair and lace closures.
The hair may be professionally lightened up to approximately #27. Chemical processing can alter the hair's original wave pattern, moisture balance, softness, and longevity.
Bleaching or chemically altering the knots may also weaken them and increase the potential for shedding, so careful professional processing is recommended.
The Signature Standard
The Velvet Wave Closure was created as the finishing piece for The Velvet Wave Bundles, combining beautifully defined Deep Wave texture with versatile 5x5 lace coverage for a seamless installation.
For the most cohesive result, pair your closure with matching The Velvet Wave Bundles from The Signature Collection.
Because closures feature delicate lace and individually secured strands, their lifespan should not automatically be expected to match the potential lifespan of properly maintained 12A bundles. Closure longevity will vary based on installation method, adhesive use, frequency of wear, lace customization, chemical processing, heat exposure, maintenance, and overall handling.
Deep in definition. Seamless in finish. Unmistakably Velvet.
