The Château Wave Closure Care Standard

RAW hair deserves exceptional care, and lace closures require additional attention due to the delicate construction of the lace and knots.

Gently detangle the hair from the ends upward using a wide-tooth comb or appropriate detangling brush. Support the hair while detangling and avoid aggressive pulling, scratching, or brushing near the lace and knots, as excessive tension may contribute to premature shedding.

Cleanse using a high-quality, moisture-focused shampoo and lukewarm water. Smooth the cleanser gently through the hair without rubbing, twisting, or bunching. Follow with a hydrating conditioner, concentrating primarily on the lengths and ends.

Deep condition periodically to help preserve the hair's softness, elasticity, moisture, and signature movement. Avoid applying heavy oils, conditioners, masks, or styling products directly to the lace and knot area, as excessive buildup can compromise the closure.

Preserving the Château Wave

After cleansing, gently blot excess moisture with a microfiber towel and allow the closure to air-dry whenever possible.

To preserve the softness, movement, definition, and longevity of your bundles, treat your Crowned Collection hair with the same level of care you would give your natural hair.
For cleansing, use a sulfate-conscious or moisture-focused shampoo and lukewarm water. Cleanse gently in a downward motion rather than aggressively rubbing or bunching the hair, which can encourage tangling. Follow with a hydrating conditioner and allow the hair to absorb moisture before rinsing thoroughly.
For curly and highly textured patterns, detangle while the hair is damp and conditioned using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Begin at the ends and work gradually toward the weft to protect the curl pattern and minimize unnecessary tension.
Moisture is essential to maintaining softness and definition. Use a lightweight leave-in conditioner or hydrating mist as needed, followed by a small amount of lightweight oil to help seal in moisture and enhance luster.
