The Aurelia Wave Care Standard
The beauty of The Aurelia Wave lies in its softness, natural movement, and relaxed definition. Preserving that finish requires consistent moisture, gentle handling, and lightweight product application.
Detangle the hair while damp and conditioned using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Begin at the ends and work gradually upward toward the weft. Avoid aggressive brushing, particularly when the hair is dry, as excessive manipulation may disturb the natural wave pattern and contribute to unnecessary frizz.
Cleanse with a moisture-focused shampoo and lukewarm water. Work gently in a downward motion without rubbing, twisting, or bunching the hair. Follow with a hydrating conditioner to help replenish moisture and maintain softness and manageability.
Deep conditioning is recommended regularly, especially after extended wear, heat styling, or chemical processing.
Preserving the Wave
Between wash days, lightly refresh The Aurelia Wave with water or a lightweight hydrating mist. Gently reshape the pattern with your fingers and allow the hair to settle naturally.
A lightweight leave-in conditioner may be applied as needed, followed by a small amount of lightweight oil to help seal in moisture and enhance luster. For additional definition, a soft-hold mousse or wave-enhancing product may be used sparingly.
Avoid heavy oils, excessive creams, and unnecessary product layering, as buildup can weigh down the hair and reduce its natural movement.
Whenever possible, allow the hair to air-dry naturally. If heat styling is desired, apply a professional heat protectant and use the lowest effective temperature.
Nighttime Care
Before sleeping, gently detangle and loosely braid or secure the hair to help maintain the wave pattern. Protect the hair with a silk or satin bonnet or scarf, and consider a silk or satin pillowcase for additional protection against friction, tangling, and dryness.
Avoid sleeping with the hair wet or excessively damp. Allow the hair to dry thoroughly before securing it for the evening.

The Aurelia Wave may be professionally lightened up to approximately Color #27. For best results, coloring and chemical customization should be performed by an experienced stylist familiar with virgin human hair.
Bleaching, coloring, repeated heat styling, and other chemical services may alter the original wave pattern, moisture balance, softness, and longevity of the hair. Customized hair may require a more intensive conditioning and maintenance routine.
